Print the QR code once. Change the event as often as you like.
A QR invitation is only useful if it still works after the venue moves. InviteFox codes point at a fixed address, so reprints are never the reason you cannot change a plan.
How does a QR code invitation work?
A QR code is a printed picture of a web address. A guest points their phone camera at it, the phone opens your invitation, and the guest RSVPs right there. Because the address is permanent in InviteFox, the printed card, bulletin insert or lobby poster keeps sending people to the current version of your event page.
Four steps to a scannable invite
- 01
Publish the event
Publishing locks in a permanent public address for your invitation.
- 02
Open the share center
InviteFox generates the code from that exact address — nothing to paste.
- 03
Pick a size
Screen, print or poster, in PNG for digital or SVG for a print shop.
- 04
Test one scan
Scan your own print before the run. The code lands on the live RSVP page.
Built in, not bolted on
The code is generated inside InviteFox from the event's own address. No external QR service sits between your poster and your guests, so there is nothing to expire, no scan quota, and no redirect that could go dark and take your invitation with it.

Questions people ask
- Will the QR code stop working if I edit the event?
- No. The code points at a permanent event address that is fixed when you publish. You can change the date, venue, artwork or questions afterwards and every printed code still opens the current page.
- What size should I print an invitation QR code?
- Print at least one inch square for a hand-held card and three inches for a poster read from a few feet away. InviteFox exports screen, print and poster sizes so you do not have to scale an image up and lose sharpness.
- Is a QR code invitation free?
- Yes. QR generation is built into every published event on every plan, including free. There is no per-scan fee and no third-party QR service in the middle.
- Do guests need an app to scan it?
- No. The camera app on any current iPhone or Android phone reads the code and opens the invitation in the browser. Guests RSVP on the same page without creating an account.
